For Small business Saturday we have some must-sip Holiday Drinks hitting the menu. Steady Hand Cafe & Collective:
Local to Philadelphia (and NJ!) Steady Hand Cafe & Collective is a pop-up cafe, mobile coffee cart that offers bottled lattes to go! This local coffee shop focuses on creativity and coffee-education within our community. “In many of the coffee-growing parts of the world, women can’t own land, open bank accounts, work outside the home, or gain financial independence. But yet they make up 70% of the coffee farming labor force. By working with these communities, they find independence to improve their lives and the lives of their communities.” Steady Hand Cafe serves and works with Café Femenino Co-operative, a gender equity co-op that provides direct compensation to women farmers.
For Black Friday they are doing a gift box with a drippy mug from Philly based ceramicist, Brian Giniewski, a bag of coffee from Triangle Coffee Roasters (also a Philly based and female owned coffee roaster), and a gift card. Each box is $50. Stop by their grand opening on Small Business Saturday, 11/27, to sip on something you can feel good about.
